Between October 26 and 28, 2026, US spot bitcoin ETFs recorded three consecutive days of net inflows:
- October 26: +$110.3M
- October 27: +$176.0M
- October 28: +$137.3M
- Total: +$423.6M
On the same three days, spot ether ETFs recorded net outflows.
Why the divergence matters
ETF flows are one of the few places where you can watch allocation decisions rather than trading. A fund buys coins when investors put cash in and sells when they take it out. Money arriving in one asset and leaving the other on the same days is a rotation, not a market-wide mood.
It fits other readings on the platform the same week: ETH/BTC at 0.02897, and our Market Regime engine at 60/100 (bull) while the Cycle Position index reads accumulation. Capital is choosing bitcoin first.
What flows do not tell you
- A flow is a net number for the day: creations minus redemptions. It does not show who bought.
- Three days is a short window. A streak is evidence about the last three days, not about the next three.
- Holidays and late fund reports matter. Our ETF card leaves a day blank when not every fund has reported, rather than drawing it as zero.
The ETF Net Flows card on the Discover tab shows daily bars per coin and per fund, with the latest inflow day marked.
